I didn't forget that at all. Indeed, I am a firm supporter of your right to put stuff on the fence, whether or not you tell FM about it, and whether or not you take photos. My point was exactly that: you can do it if you want, but if you do send FM a photo he has a perfect right to ignore it, file it, or just not get round to doing anything at all with it. Whereas some people seem to expect him to jump to their every command. It's not as though he gets paid for this, it's not a commercial site with pots of cash invested in the infrastructure, staffing, etc.

Christmas Fairy, you forget that the fence is a universal fence, a fence for the people, all people, a fence for peace and so forth. I live near the fence, when I'm not working over here, and even my brother and I have put things on the fence, not bothering to take photos. Let it be known that people regularly place items on the fence (my particular favorite was the painting of the Queen); whether they take photos or not I don't think it matters. The point is that we make a stand for cyclists everywhere who need to lock their bicycles safely when away from home.

I'm designing a fence with locks for attaching bicycles to incorporated in it. I'll attach it to the fence when it's produced and probably not take a photo of it, or maybe I will. You see, it won't matter either way.

If you put something on the fence and send the fencemaster a photo he may put it on this site. He may not. It's his site, he can do what he likes.

I put something on the fence last year. I sent FM a photo. The photo is on the site. SOme people keep putting things on teh site, keep sending the FM photos, and nothing appears here; I suspect FM's bored out of his mind with all their shenanigans. I would be.

It's a bit like life really. It's there but there are no guarantees. Just do your best and see what happens.

NO! At least not for a long time. He's
still got lots of pictures from people
who did the same last year and where are
they? Not on this site - it's his site
and he's doing with it what he wants! As
well as his excuse that he's busy and a
one man band (it's useful knowing how to
drum) You have to be part of the 'in'
crowd to get a posting these days. Don't
let that put you off though. I've still
got some waiting, even several that I
haven't forwarded to him yet - don't
want to bog him down with too many
icecreams. I shall continue to attach
things to the fence whether anyone knows
or cares! That's what I do now.
